fun. feel like they 'finally belong' after getting GRAMMY nominations

'We Are Young' band fun. have admitted that their recent nominations for the upcoming GRAMMY Awards have finally made them feel accepted in the modern music scene.

Speaking to Billboard about their 6 nods, the rockers explained that they think it signifies a shift in trends and is a positive step:

"You grow up watching the Grammys -- it's the ultimate benchmark for a musician to even be nominated. So we're very, very thrilled. [Wednesday] night, we felt like we finally belonged in this world, on this planet, and it felt very good."

Multi-instrumentalist Andrew Dost added: "We're aware that 'We Are Young' had a very big year, but I don't think you can prepare yourself for that sort of thing, especially with album [of the year] and best new artist. The best new artist category was just so inspiring to even hear those names read off. It's very exciting to be in that kind of company."
