Amazon's end of year figures praise Lana Del Rey and Carly Rae Jepsen

Online retailer Amazon has released its 'Best of 2012' list and placed Canadian sensation Carly Rae Jepsen and Lana Del Rey in some of the winning positions.

Amazon has named 'Call Me Maybe' by Jepsen as the 'Best Song of 2012' according to its customer picks statistics and Del Rey was crowned the favourite pop artist of the year, but also scored the 16th best-selling album of 2012 with 'Born To Die'.

Last week, Jepsen earned another impressive title off the back of her summer anthem 'Call Me Maybe' as it was confirmed as VEVO's most watched video of the past 12 months, beating the likes of One Direction and Justin Bieber to the No.1 spot.
