Russell Crowe backs Adam Lambert after Les Misérables criticism

Actor Russell Crowe has agreed with negative comments issued by Adam Lambert about the new adaptation of Les Misérables.

The Gladiator star features in Tom Hooper's new musical film alongside the likes of Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway.

Vocal powerhouse Adam Lambert took to Twitter recently to criticise the movie's use of live vocals recorded on set, believing that the cast should have been better singers.

A follower mentioned Lambert's criticism to Crowe on Twitter yesterday (January 1), saying: "Not sure if you saw @adamlambert's comments about Les Miserables. He was pretty opinionated."

However, the actor admitted that he agrees somewhat with Adam Lambert's suggestions, replying:

"I don't disagree with Adam, sure it could have been sweetened, Hooper wanted it raw and real, that's how it is."
