James Arthur is "honoured" by BRIT nomination

2012's X Factor winner James Arthur has revealed that he is "honoured" to have been nominated in this year's BRIT Awards.

The singer explained to the Daily Star newspaper that he was shocked to discover he had been recognised in the Best British Single (for his winner's single, 'Impossible') category and is excited for the year ahead:

"I feel honoured to have received the BRIT nomination. Thanks so much to everyone who has supported me."

When asked what he has planned for the next twelve months, the talented rising star admitted that he will be working on original material:

"I can't wait to get into the studio to start work on my album."

He took to his official Twitter page last night (January 13) and thanked his followers for their support: "#LOVE #LOVE #LOVE to all My people who follow me and show me #LOVE you make life good tahhhhh x"
