The number of people buying suits in the UK has increased because of the influence of pop acts such as One Direction.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' stars aren't afraid to don smart menswear and have been photographed in shoots wearing the slick outfits.

Moss Bros have reported a 2.7% increase in like-for-like suit sales over the last financial year - and they believe it is mainly due to groups like One Direction.

Chief Executive Brian Brick said: "A lot of bands you see on TV are wearing suits. That has benefited [us]."

One Direction are particularly fond of wearing suits to awards ceremonies, whilst a shoot for Vogue last year saw the boys wear classic black suits.
