Nick Grimshaw: "I will cry every day One Direction are away on tour"

BBC Radio 1 host Nick Grimshaw has admitted his deep sadness at One Direction's impending tour.

The Breakfast Show host is good friends with 'What Makes You Beautiful' singer Harry Styles and it seems the band's Take Me Home tour is set to cause upset for the DJ.

Speaking to heat with his tongue somewhat in cheek, Grimshaw said he will shed tears every day Styles is away.

He said he might even construct a sombre candlelit vigil to pay his respects to the departed singer. The radio man said:

"I will cry every day when One Direction are away. I don't know how I'll cope. I will just cry so hard, constantly."

He continued: "We probably won't be Skyping each other very much in onesies...the thought of it. No, I think it will just be me, a tear-stained face and my Harry Styles candlelit vigil."

One Direction head out on their UK and Ireland Take Me Home tour from February 23.
