One Direction reveal Mumford & Sons backstage BRITs snub

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has revealed that they were snubbed by Mumford & Sons backstage at the BRITs after wanting to congratulate them.

The two bands were nominated in the British Group category at the awards in London on Wednesday (February 20), with the 'Babel' stars coming out on top.

There were no hard feelings for One Direction, who have previously admitted to being big fans of Mumford & Sons.

However, it is said they were denied the chance to meet the band backstage at the BRITs to congratulate them on their win.

Louis Tomlinson said to the Mirror: "It was disappointing. Mumford's reaction was disappointing. We're really big fans and wanted to congratulate them. It was a shame."
