Brian McFadden has revealed that has been sent death threats from One Direction fans after making comments about the band.

The former Westlife star appeared on a number of occasions in the press recently talking about the 'Kiss You' stars.

He predicted Niall Horan would be the first to leave the band and admitted that he felt sorry for Zayn Malik after it was revealed in the media that he reportedly cheated on girlfriend Perrie Edwards.

Speaking to Now magazine, McFadden revealed that his comments haven't sat well with One Direction fans. He said:

"It's ridiculous. I'm getting death threats on Twitter. Their fans are worse than Westlife fans were."
