Biffy Clyro talk No. 1 success

Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil says the band had the "week of [their] lives" after reaching No. 1 in the UK album charts.

The Scottish rockers new record, 'Opposites' is the band's highest charting album to date, knocking the 'Motion Picture Cast Recording of Les Misérables' off the top spot in February.

Frontman Neil says the band were elated with the record's success.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, he gushed: "I was more over the moon about it than I thought I would be. I thought I'd be able to take it in my stride and think, 'Cool, it doesn't mean anything.' But, I think it did mean something to a band like us who've built up from being like 13 years old together, just playing and making everything happen organically.

He added: "To make a double album which made it to the top of the charts is something we can't quite get our heads around. It was unbelievable. I didn't think we'd be so excited about it - when we found out about it we had the week of our lives."
