Glastonbury Festival deny Mariah Carey and Prince rumours

Glastonbury Festival organiser Emily Eavis has rubbished reports that Mariah Carey and Prince could headline this year's festival.

The iconic Worthy Farm shindig is returning this summer after taking a year out and a host of names have been rumoured to headline.

The Rolling Stones have long been linked with a slot at the massive festival as they look to build on last year's 50th anniversary gigs.

Mariah Carey, Prince and the Arctic Monkeys have become the latest names to be rumoured for Glastonbury, but organiser Eavis has denied recent speculation. She said on Twitter:

"Three nonsense headliner stories in a week. All completely untrue."

Eavis continued: "Real news will be with you soon!"
