A tourist has revealed her amusement after taking a photograph of a fish that she thinks bears a resemblance to Nicki Minaj.

Chicago based Ittichai Chammavanijakul was holidaying in Bangkok, Thailand when she took a snap of a unique looking fish.

She didn't think anything of the colourful Flowerhorn at the time, but it was only until later on that she realised something fishy was going on.

Chammavanijakul said that she soon thought the creature looked like Nicki Minaj due to its flamboyant 'hair' and penchant for pink and purple. The Daily Mail quotes her as saying:

"I took the picture without really knowing who Nicki Minaj was - but after I found out I was going through my files one evening and it hit me."

She continued: "I started laughing to myself when I noticed the likeness of the hair and it looks like the fish is almost pouting too. From pictures I have seen I noticed she likes to wear a lot of pink and purple outfits as well which made it even funnier to see. The fish are hugely popular across Asia as the fish look so unique - but this is definitely one of a kind now it looks like a pop star."

The photo, which can be seen below, really does give a new meaning to Minaj's hit track 'Super Bass'.
