Michael Jackson's daughter opens up about his parenting skills

Young Paris Jackson has revealed that while her father, the late Michael Jackson, may have been seen as an eccentric performer he was a doting and protective dad to their family.

She spoke exclusively to the Mail on Sunday's Event magazine recently and explained that the reason the King of Pop covered their faces with masks was because he wanted them to not be recognisable:

"He didn't want anyone to see what we looked like. That way we could have what he didn't, which was a normal childhood. He was an incredible father. We all loved him to death," She said. "He'd try to educate us as much as he could and was always looking out for us. He was very protective."

When asked about her own plans for the future, the 15-year-old confessed that she aspires to help people in a medical profession: "I want to go to medical school and be a doctor specializing in heart surgery. I want to help people."

The 'Billie Jean' icon died back in 2009 and Paris admitted that she also wants to reopen his Neverland Ranch and use it for what it was originally intended for: "I think it should be restored to how it used to be so that the children who couldn't have a childhood could have fun there."
