JLS ticket sales increase by almost 300% following split announcement

Following the shock announcement from British boyband JLS this morning (April 24), in which they confirmed their decision to split after their tour ends later this autumn, it has been revealed that ticket sales for the lads' shows have skyrocketed.

Seatwave, an online ticket retailer, has shared details of a surge in sales for tickets for the 'She Makes Me Wanna' stars' forthcoming 'Goodbye; The Greatest Hits Tour' that took place in the hours after the sad news was announced.

The group have rebranded their 2013 arena tour as a series of farewell shows and a spokesperson for Seatwave revealed that they have seen an almost 300% sales increase now that fans realise it will be their last chance to catch them live:

"JLS have had major success in the past five years and have a strong fan base. The fact that this will be fans' last chance to see them perform live together has resulted in mammoth demand for tickets."

JLS's final tour will kick off in December.
