Caro Emerald lands No. 1 UK album

Caro Emerald has scored her first UK No. 1 album today (May 12) with 'The Shocking Miss Emerald'.

The Dutch singer/songwriter managed to maintain her lead after debuting in top position during the mid-week chart update on Wednesday.

Emerald told OfficialCharts.com after the announcement: "I'm humbled by this exciting news. It's such a huge recognition for the hard work we've put in to this record. I want to give a big thank you to all the fans and everybody who has supported us over the last few years. Thank you!”

Rudimental's 'Home' is down one place to No. 2, while Hugh Laurie's 'Didn't It Rain' has debuted at No. 3.

Alison Moyet's 'The Minutes' is new in this week at No. 5 while P!nk's 'The Truth About Love' has slipped three places to No. 6.

One Direction's 'Take Me Home' is down to No. 32 while Paramore's self-titled new offering is down seven places to No. 29.
