Lucy Spraggan has unleashed the video for her latest single.

The X Factor 2012 contestant is releasing the track 'Lighthouse' in the UK on July 1 as her first single since leaving the show.

The video for the song sees Spraggan perform with the tune in a dingy rehearsal space alongside her band.

Speaking previously about the inspiration behind the track, the singer said: "Lighthouses are my good omen. When I was in the US and stuff went wrong, when I'd miss the last bus or I'd run out of money, I'd always see a lighthouse on a piece of paper, beer bottle or in real life then things would start getting better."

Spraggan rose to fame on the X Factor last year with self-penned tracks like 'Last Night' before bowing out of the show in November.
