Daft Punk's new album smashes Spotify records

Daft Punk have broken a number of Spotify records with their new album.

The French pair released their fourth studio album 'Random Access Memories' this week and it has already become 2013's highest selling record in the UK.

The record also broke a host of Spotify records worldwide, it has now emerged.

'Random Access Memories' has smashed the record for the number of first-day streams in the US, UK, France, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore and Mexico.

The record enjoyed prominent placing on Spotify UK's intro display page upon its release on Monday (May 20).

Daft Punk have also broken the record for the most amount of artist streams in one day.
