Queens of the Stone Age top midweek album chart update

Queens of the Stone Age's newest offering has entered this week's album chart update in poll position.

The band's sixth studio album 'Like Clockwork' is outselling Disclosure’s debut album 'Settle' by only a few thousand copies.

The Official Chart Update claims that everything is still to play for in the album race as the gap is "is steadily narrowing".

Daft Punk look set to lose their two-week hold on No. 1 in the albums race as 'Random Access Memories' has slipped two places to No. 3.

Rod Stewart's 'Time' has also fallen two places to No. 4 while  Rudimental's 'Home' has dropped two places to No. 7 after 6 weeks in the charts.

Olly Murs' 'Right Place Right Time' is at No. 9 after climbing four places, while Bruno Mars' 'Unorthodox Jukebox' is down six places to No. 13 after an impressive 26 weeks in the charts.
