Cher: "Lady Gaga duet hasn't made new album"

Cher's duet with Lady Gaga won't make her new album as the eccentric songstress "doesn't like it".

The singer previously revealed that her collaboration with Gaga was "on the line" as to whether it would make the final cut on her new musical offering, 'Closer To The Truth'.

Cher has now confirmed that song won't feature on the LP.

Speaking in a live stream interview ahead of her performance on The Voice US finale this week, Cher explained: "I did a song with GaGa and I think it's brilliant and I thought her performance was great but she doesn't like it."

Cher performed her new single 'Woman's World' live for the first time on US television last night (June 18) during the finale of the hit TV talent show.

Discussing her new album in the interview she continued: "The songs are really good. They're dance songs but they're kind of fun. There are some tongue-in-cheek songs... there's some really sad songs. One is Pink's and it's called 'Lie To Me'. My friend from the Scissor Sisters Jason [Jake Shears]... he's on 'Take It Like A Man'. I'm really proud of it."

Cher's new album follows on from 2001 record 'Living Proof'.

The star revealed why it's taken her so long to bring out her new music: "I don't know. Truthfully, my record company should have drop-kicked my ass a long time ago.

"I wasn't doing what they wanted me to do. They said, 'You have to get serious or there isn't going to be any album'."
