UK based boyband One Direction told their fans to keep an eye out for a very exciting announcement that will come at some point today (June 25) and they have now revealed it.

A message was shared from the lads' collective Twitter page earlier this afternoon that explained "the guys have some very exciting news for you later today", and member Niall Horan then took to his own social networking account to add: "New news! I love big news! Especially about music! Wohoooooo."

At around 4pm BST, the 'Little Things' heartthrobs unveiled a new video clip in which they confirm that they will be releasing a brand new single, entitled 'Best Song Ever'. The superstars explained that it will also feature in their upcoming debut movie, 'This Is Us'.

Horan said: "We've got a little secret that we've been keeping and we want you to know about it!" Singer Harry Styles then took over and told the camera: "We are releasing a new single called 'Best Song Ever'. It's going to be in our movie and you can pre-order it from midnight tonight."
