James Arthur has revealed his desire to record a duet with Nicole Scherzinger.

The US star mentored the singer-songwriter on the X Factor last year, leading him to eventual success.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the 'Impossible' man confirmed that they have been writing tracks together - and it seems he wants to be on her next album. Arthur said:

"I've played a couple of things to Nicole and she loves them. We're writing songs together so I'd absolutely love to be on her next album. I think it's a possibility. I felt jealous watching the first show of the new X Factor series seeing Nicole complimenting other people - it's weird. That's my mentor. We got really close. She's such a nice person - really cool for someone so successful."

Arthur meanwhile today (September 9) unveiled his new single 'You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You' and confirmed the November release of his self-titled debut album.
