Bastille and Gary Barlow in closest singles charts race of 2013

The midweek singles chart update has just been announced and it's set to be an incredibly close race as Gary Barlow's new offering 'Let Me Go' is only 15 copies behind Bastille's 'Of The Night', which is currently No.1

If Barlow manages to overtake the band by Sunday (November 24), he will secure the 15th No.1 single of his career as both a member of Take That and as a solo artist.

Lily Allen's cover of Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know' is also only 2,400 copies behind this week's No.2 so the final positions are incredibly tight at this midway stage. Allen's own new single, 'Hard Out Here', has debuted at No.7 this afternoon.

Elsewhere in the UK Top 40, Boyzone are at No.39 'Love Will Save The Day', Justin Bieber has made an appearance with R. Kelly on 'PYD' at No.17, and JLS's farewell single 'Billion Lights' has entered at No.14. Meanwhile, JLS's final 'Goodbye - Greatest Hits' album charted at No.4
