Rough Copy hope to follow in the footsteps of One Direction

'X Factor' finalists Rough Copy, who left the popular TV talent show over the weekend, have revealed that now they're off the programme they're hoping for a route of success similar to that of One Direction.

Speaking to ITV following their departure from the show, the rising stars explained that perhaps it's a blessing in disguise that they didn't win because some of the acts who failed to succeed on 'The X Factor' have gone on to enjoy huge careers: "I think it depends on the act. Not everyone who wins is as successful as the people who don't win. 1D didn't win and they're global superstars."

When asked how they plan to celebrate the festive period now that they're free from 'X Factor' commitments, they explained:

"When we come out of this, we're going to be gigging... keeping ourselves relevant and show ourselves to our supporters, and continue our journey. It's going to be a great Christmas as we can provide for our families properly - as much as we want to - and just enjoy life on the road."
