Pop sensation and former Disney starlet Miley Cyrus has admitted that she's relieved to no longer be engaged to 'Hunger Games' actor Liam Hemsworth (pictured below with Cyrus) because she doesn't think she was truly ready for such a commitment. 

Cyrus made the confession during a new interview with Barbara Walters for this year's '10 Most Fascinating People of 2013' broadcast and explained that now she's single she can really start to get her head around where she's at in her life:

"I don't think I realised what 19 truly is, and I got engaged at 19, and I definitely wouldn't change being engaged... It was so fun wearing a fat rock for a few years."

She added that her new found independence has been a blessing so far: "But now, I just feel like I can actually be happy. I was so scared of ever being alone and I think conquering that fear, this year, was actually bigger than any other transition that I had."
