Lykke Li has pulled dates in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore due to ill health.

The singer was due to perform a series of shows in the countries as part of the 2015 Laneway Festival.

The concerts were scheduled to take place from January 24 to February 8.

However, Lykke Li said in a statement today (January 5) that life on the road has "caught up with her" and that she will have to cancel the dates.

The singer said: "I'm incredibly sorry to announce that I’m no longer able to play in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore for Laneway Festival.

"It’s been a long time coming, but unfortunately tour life has caught up with me and it’s been recommended that I take a break. I’m devastated, but know I will return. Thank you for all the support, and I sincerely hope I can make it up to you at a later date."
