Former Disney sensation Miley Cyrus has declared a Twitter hiatus after the persistent rumours that suggest her forthcoming wedding to Liam Hemsworth has been called off.

Writing on the social networking site this afternoon (March 6) she explained that she's had enough of Los Angeles and the lies that seem to come with living there:

"I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining."

She returned to Twitter just one hour later and added that the only thing she wants to talk about from now on is the new music she's been working on lately: "My new music is gonna shut everyone up - not discussing anything but my music from now on."

Cyrus hasn't revealed too much about her new record, but teased that it features 'Yonkers' star Tyler, the Creator: "I wrote this song with Mary J. Blige, and Tyler, the Creator heard it and said, 'I am obsessed with this song, and I will guest on it if you promise me that you will keep it on the album,'."
