Miley Cyrus' new song featuring Snoop Dogg is out "very, very soon".

The US songstress confirmed on Friday (March 23) that fans won't have to wait much longer for the first single from her upcoming album.

Speaking on Ryan Seacrest's102.7 KIIS FM radio show, Cyrus announced: "I did a song with Snoop and it's coming out very, very soon!

"It's recorded, done. I'm so excited! He was in Europe when he was recording, but he's here this weekend so I'm pretty excited I'm going to take a bunch of my friends and go hang out."

Cyrus confirmed plans to release new music last year.

The star - who has been linked to a number of hip hop heavyweights including Pharrell Williams since the announcement - also spoke about her newest offering in more detail.

She revealed: "I want this record to be different and a bunch of passion projects. Which the first thing, I wouldn't have calculated like, 'Oh the first song I want to come out is me and Snoop Dogg."

She added: "I never thought that would be [my first single]. I'd think it'd be my own single first, but I've been able to do these things where I've just been in the studio at the right time and these projects have just magically come."
