Miley Cyrus has announced the release of her next single.

The US star will unleash the track 'We Can't Stop' on June 3 as she builds up to the release of her forthcoming album.

The singer announced the news at last night's (May 19) Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Cyrus has launched a countdown clock on her official website that also features a revealing photo of the singer in a skimpy outfit.

The 'Party in the USA' star was also on presenting duties last night as she gave the Top Male Artist prize to Justin Bieber.

She took to Twitter meanwhile after the ceremony to state that she wished she could have performed her new single live on stage.
