Pop songstress Miley Cyrus has treated her fans around the globe to the title of her upcoming new album after reaching her goal of 13 million Twitter followers.

The 'We Can't Stop' beauty has been promising to share the name of the record once she reached the social networking milestone and kept her word as this evening (August 6), she explained that it is called 'BANGERZ': "13 million #BANGERZ. If you don't know why my record is called BANGERZ you'll know as soon as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ."

'BANGERZ' is the follow up to Cyrus's 2010 offering 'Can't Be Tamed' and also marks her first album release with RCA Records. Her fans on Twitter have been reacting to the title since it was confirmed and one wrote: "I'm sorry but 'The Twerks Of Being A Wallflower' would be a better album name."

Cyrus recently starred in a new TV commercial for the 2013 MTV VMAs, which will take place in Brooklyn later this month on August 25. You can see it below.
