Miley Cyrus' 'We Can’t Stop' tops UK singles chart

Miley Cyrus has shot to No. 1 in the UK singles chart with ‘We Can’t Stop’.

The American pop star has managed to dislodge Avicii’s ‘Wake Me Up’ from the top of the chart which has now fallen one place to No. 2.

Another high ranking new entry to this week’s chart comes courtesy of Tinie Tempah featuring 2 Chainz with ‘Trampoline’ fresh in at No. 3.

This rest of this week’s top ten is made up by Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais’ ‘Summertime Sadness’ with a non-mover at No. 4, ‘Blurred Lines’ by Robin Thicke is down two to No. 5, John Newman’s ‘Love Me Again’ at No. 6, Jay Z and Justin Timberlake with ‘Holy Grail at. No. 7, Calvin Harris’ ‘Thinking About You’ at No. 8, One Direction’s ‘Best Song Ever’ down four to No. 9 and Icona Pop at No. 10 with ‘I Love It’.

Apart from Miley Cyrus and Tinie Tempah the only other new entry to the top 40 this week comes from Kings of Leon with ‘Wait For Me’ in at No. 31.

This week’s chart climbers include Le Youth with ‘C O O L’ up 14 places to No. 35, Justin Timberlake’s ‘Take Back The Night’ jumped a sizable 30 spots to No. 29, Disclosure’s ‘F For You’ up eight places to No. 20, Of Monsters and Men up 15 places with ‘Little Talks’ at No. 19 and Rudimental’s ‘Right Here’ featuring Foxes up ten to reach to No. 14.
