Ne-Yo has opened up on opinion-dividing X Factor contestant Rylan Clark.

Clark has polarised the public with his flamboyant performances but Ne-Yo helped vote the singer through during the Judges' Houses phase.

Ne-Yo helped friend and X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger during the stage and also performed on Sunday's live show (October 6).

Speaking to KISS about Clark, the R&B said that X Factor isn't the best contestant in terms of vocal ability but praised his entertainment skills. He said:

"Some music is just about having fun…Rylan is the kind of artist where you go to the concert and you know that you're gonna have a ball."

As previously reported, Ne-Yo admitted that he probably embarrassed One Direction on the X Factor set at the weekend, with the music star revealing that he was a bit too excited about meeting the pop group.
