Rap sensation Nicki Minaj has taken to her official Twitter account to voice her opinions after footage of her arguing on the set of American Idol with fellow judge Mariah Carey leaked.

According to Carey's close friend Barbara Walters, who hosts chat show The View, Minaj made a violent threat toward her and during the programme she recalled what Carey had told her happened: "Nicki walked off the set and multiple people heard Nicki say, 'If I had a gun I would shoot the b*tch.'"

Earlier today (October 4), the 'Starships' hitmaker posted a series of tweets that explained her own view point on the dramatic situation: "I don't call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave."

"I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we've had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn."

She then returned to the social networking site and added: "All I do is compliment u. That's not enuff? Ur a legend, cheer up. U don't have to run down ur resume or feel intimidated. Shady McGrady...”
