Nicole Scherzinger has confirmed that she wasn't invited back onto the X Factor.

The US star was a judge on the UK reality TV show for two years before leaving ahead of the 2014 series.

Speaking on Alan Carr's Chatty Man show, Scherzinger said that supremo Simon Cowell chose not to renew her contract. She revealed:

"I haven't heard from Simon. He made his choice so I'm just going to support everybody and it doesn't matter as my panel last year was the absolute best. 

"No-one can replace Gazza and Mrs O and Louis for me. But you know what, the show's going to be crazy this year. I know it's going to be a banger, as you guys say over here."

This year's panel will consist of Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Mel B and Louis Walsh.
