Nicole Scherzinger has been in the studio with X Factor 2012 runner-up Jahmene Douglas.

The 'Boomerang' singer looked after Douglas on the TV talent show, but they ultimately lost out to eventual winner James Arthur.

The newbie singer later signed a deal with Sony and it seems the talented singer has a positive future ahead of him.

Scherzinger posted a photo of the pair last night (March 18) on Twitter as they laid down some vocals, along with the caption:

"In studio tonight with my jahmazing @JahmeneDouglas :)"

It is unclear, however, if the recording is for Douglas's debut album or Scherzinger's forthcoming sophomore solo record.
