Shawn Mendes has unveiled a new behind the scenes tour video.

The singer-songwriter's clip shows the Canadian on the road in North America.

It juggles some performance footage with clips of Mendes speaking.

He says: "The tour has been going amazing, it's been crazy.

"I knew the shows were a lot bigger, but until you actually step in front of that many people you don't really feel how big it is and the shows are actually huge."

Mendes has been plugging upcoming album 'Illuminate' on the tour ahead of the record's release on September 10.

Next up for the musician is a show in West Long Branch, NJ on Tuesday (August 16).
