Taylor Swift confesses love for Dr. SeussTaylor Swift has credited the classic series of Dr Seuss’ children’s books for inspiring her early career. The 22-year-old, who voices the character of Audrey in the upcoming animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, told E! Online at the film’s L.A. premiere that the iconic US stories were a major influence as a youngster: “I loved reading books just when i was a child. When I was growing up, I’m pretty sure that was my first exposure to poetry. And I just loved it.” The ‘Love Story’ hit-maker also expressed her admiration for Whitney Houston after being asked about the late singer. "I was a huge fan of Whitney. And I was also a fan of her spirit. She was always smiling and I just always felt like she was relatable." The film, which also stars the likes of Zac Efron and Betty White, opens in the US on March 2 and in the UK on July 27, and is Swift’s second major acting role after appearing as Felicia in the 2010 rom-com ‘Valentine’s Day.’ Watch the official trailer for 'Dr. Seuss' The Lorax' below:
