Maroon 5 heartthrob Adam Levine is currently shooting scenes for a film in New York City and has been spotted holding hands with British beauty Keira Knightley.

They are working on a movie called 'Can a Song Save Your Life?' and have been photographed getting close on the streets of Manhattan.

Earlier today (July 2), the 'Payphone' singer tweeted a message to let his fans know that he's excited about the big screen project: "First day of shooting for the movie!"

He also shared a photograph with his 2.6 million followers, in which he can be seen wearing a pair of black-rimmed reading glasses, and a flannel shirt with a grey T-shirt underneath it.

Other stars who are set to appear in the film include Mark Ruffalo, James Corden and Cee Lo Green.
