Alicia Keys and David Byrne to duet at charity show

Alicia Keys and David Byrne will perform together at an upcoming charity gig.

The duo will team up for Keys’ annual Black Ball fundraiser for Keep a Child Alive, which is taking place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on October 30.

Keys commented: "I’ve always been inspired by David Byrne and his ability to combine music and art, so getting the opportunity to perform with him at this year’s Black Ball is such an honour.

"David and I have been talking about his new music and what we’re going to perform and just the thought of it is amazing!"

Angel Haze will also perform on the night, whilst Givenchy artistic director Riccardo Tisci will be honoured for his anti-discriminatory efforts.

Keys is a founder of Keep a Child Alive, which has given HIV treatment to children orphaned due to AIDS since 2003.

Previous Black Ball events have seen Keys perform live with the likes of David BowieJay Z, Bono and Adele.
