Elbow to release a new beer: 'It has a spicy American feel'

Rockers Elbow have confirmed that they will be releasing a second brand of beer next month.

The lads' debut ale was named 'Build A Rocket Boys!' after their album of the same title and was initially unveiled back in 2011. The new beer, called 'Charge', has been described as a "refreshing golden pale ale, with a session-friendly ABV of 4.2 per cent" and it'll be available in Nicholson's pubs across Britain from February 4.

Speaking about the beer, frontman Guy Garvey explained that it's a little spicy and a bit different in terms of flavour: "With the help of the good people at Marston's [Brewery] we've created a beer with a spicy American feel that still retains the class of a traditional British real ale."

"It's the perfect accompaniment to the album."

'MMMBop' hitmakers Hanson released their own brand of beer last year, called 'MMMHops', and Iron Maiden also created their own ale, which they called 'Trooper'.
