OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder confirms One Direction project: 'Yes, we did do something!'

Singer-songwriter Ryan Tedder, of OneRepublic fame, has addressed rumours that suggest he has been working with boyband One Direction and explained that while he can't confirm or deny the speculation, he thinks they're very down to earth guys.

During an interview with Britain's The Guardian newspaper, the 'Counting Stars' hitmaker explained that he did get the chance to meet the 'Story Of My Life' lads recently and thought they were very personable:

"That's an interesting rumour. I don't know if I can confirm or deny that, but what I will say is that I did hang out with One Direction in London. It sounds completely generic to say, but I'm always impressed or extremely happy when I end up in the same room with a band who are at the stage of nuclear explosion in their career and they're so normal it almost turns you off."

Tedder added: "Like, 'How are you not more messed up right now? I'm looking for syringes, where are they?' [Suddenly] Yes, we did do something is the truth. I can't say what it's for, though."

When asked if he thinks member Harry Styles might be the first to walk away from the popular group, Tedder confessed that he couldn't possibly comment on that because he's never had any conversations with the heartthrob that would give him that impression: "Oh my God, I have no idea. I've never had any conversations with him or any of them regarding that."
