Sir Paul McCartney endures stage invasion in Brazil

The Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney performed a concert in Goiania, Brazil recently and was met with a warm reception from some of the area's local insects.

As he played songs from both his own back catalogue and that of his iconic band's, the 'Blackbird' hitmaker was plagued by grasshoppers.

Dozens of them swarmed the stage and landed on McCartney's clothing and piano, causing him to acknowledge their presence (shown below) and he tweeted about the incident earlier today describing it as a "stage invasion".

Despite the mass of grasshoppers trying to interrupt the show, McCartney continued with his set and wowed crowds with renditions of 'Eight Days A Week', 'We Can Work It Out' and 'Yesterday'.
