The Vamps have slammed rumours of the group breaking up.

The rising stars have only just released their second single but it seems some eager minds are keen to put their future in doubt.

The band posted on Twitter:

"Haha just seen rumours of us splitting up! Can't think of anything more silly. #TheVampsForever."

Contrary to the speculation, it seems The Vamps have a bright future.

They recently announced plans to play at this year's Isle of Wight Festival and their debut album should hit shelves later this year.

The quartet also due to perform at London's Hyde Park in July.
