The Vamps have joked that they are probably more like One Direction in terms of hair rather than their music.

The group are often compared to the 'Live While We're Young' stars as a result of their age and gender.

However, the band - who play their own instruments - believe that they are a different style of group to One Direction.

When asked by the BBC if they are bored by the comparisons yet, Bradley Simpson - who is often likened to Harry Styles - said:

"No. They're very successful aren't they? I think we're a very different band in the sense that the music is very different. It's a band layout with us - guitar, drum, bass and lead singer.

"Hair-wise...maybe there's some similarities."

James McVey then added that he thinks his particularly erect hair is similar to that of Zayn Malik.

The Vamps meanwhile released their debut album 'Meet The Vamps' on Monday (April 14).
