The Vamps hope to release album in America this summer

The Vamps have revealed that their debut album could be released in the US this summer.

The British group unleashed their maiden effort 'Meet The Vamps' recently in their home country and the record reached No.2 on the chart.

Speaking to ClevverTV at the Radio Disney Music Awards, the quartet confirmed that they will be releasing a single in the US in the summer.

The group - who have unleashed three tracks in the UK so far - will then bring out their record.

Guitarist James McVey said: "Our album just came out in the UK, but we've got a single coming out here in the summer. Hopefully the album will follow that."

The Vamps meanwhile are due to tour North America this summer as support for Austin Mahone.

The first date on the run will take place on July 25, with the last concert scheduled for August 21.
