The Vamps have been confirmed as the opening act for this year's Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball.

The band were previously announced to perform at the event's opening night at London's O2 Arena on December 6.

Capital FM have now stated that The Vamps will kick things off by opening the show at 6pm.

Also on the bill are Take That, Olly Murs, Union J and OneRepublic.

Playing the event's second night (December 7) are the likes of Taylor Swift and 5 Seconds of Summer.

The Jingle Bell Ball is an offshoot of Capital FM's popular Summertime Ball, which takes place at London's Wembley Stadium.
