Jason Derulo has opened up about his split from Jordin Sparks.

The couple broke up in late 2014 after dating for three years.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Derulo said that the pair have now "moved on" from their time together.

He said: "Jordin Sparks was exactly what I needed at one point in my life. But that's not the case any more. So you live and you learn and you move on and be thankful for the time you shared. We dated for three years, but don't stay in touch.

"It's not hard having a relationship in the limelight so much as it's hard having a break-up in the limelight. It just goes on and on because people keep talking about it."

Derulo meanwhile will perform at this year's Capital FM Summertime Ball in June.
