Bette Midler offers to direct Ariana Grande's next music video after criticising herMidler initially told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper that she is put off by the young sensation's constant writhing around and ear-piercing voice: "It's terrible! It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, slithering around on a couch, looking so ridiculous. I mean, it's silly beyond belief and I don't know who's telling her to do it. I wish they'd stop. But it's not my business, I'm not her mother. Or her manager." However, the iconic star took to her official Twitter page this afternoon (December 1) and explained that the perfect birthday gift would be forgiveness and friendship from Grande: "Yes, it's my birthday! And my birthday wish is that @ArianaGrande forgives me soon and let's me direct her next video..." After hearing Midler's surprising and mean criticism, 'Problem' songstress Grande admitted that she's still a fan and hopes she finds a way to drop the negative attitude: "Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement! Not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back! Always a fan no matter what my love." Follow us: @Pressparty on Twitter / Pressparty on Facebook.
