Glee's Chris Colfer opens up about role on show, talks possible replacement

Glee's Chris Colfer, who plays the fantastic character Kurt Hummel, has opened up about his role on the show and the future of his career on the show.

Colfer has a very busy schedule and has previously revealed that he landed a two-book deal, so his time on the hit U.S. series may be more limited but he thinks the creators of Glee have already found a great replacement in the form of bad boy Sebastian:

"Maybe he’ll take Kurt’s place? [People] are going to hate me for saying that, but it’s just logic.”

Ryan Murphy, the programme's mastermind, has already admitted that the current cast will need to 'graduate' in order to keep the storyline realistic and believable, and while Colfer didn't confirm the end of his contract he teased that there's something in place to move the plot along:

"My word is fun. I really think it’s a great idea and I’m looking forward to it. It’s never been done before.”

Colfer is currently working without his on-screen love interest Darren Criss (Blaine), who is performing in Broadway's 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying', but he added that his absence has been written into the script in a strong way:

"You’ll find out how [Blaine] leaves for a little bit and then comes back, but it’s nothing too bad or serious."
