Rita Ora's debut album on course to be the UK's No.1

'R.I.P.' songstress Rita Ora has debuted at No.1 on the UK albums chart with her first full-length offering, 'Ora'.

The Kosovo-born hitmaker has already landed a trio of chart-topping singles this year and she is set to achieve a similar feat with her major label studio album.

Elbow have the highest new entry in today's (August 29) midweek update with 'Dead In The Boot' at No.2 and Of Monsters And Men have made an appearance just behind them at 3 with 'My Head Is An Animal'. Emeli Sandé's 'Our Version Of Events', which has already spent an impressive 5 non-consecutive weeks at the top spot, has now dropped to No.4.

Elsewhere in the Top 20, Paloma Faith's 'Fall To Grace' has dipped 3 positions to No.5, X Factor hopeful Lucy Spraggan has shot into No.7 with her offering 'Top Room At The Zoo', and Alanis Morrisette's new cut entitled 'Havoc And Bright Lights' has debuted respectably at 8.

One Direction's 'Up All Night' has climbed 2 to No.10 following their exciting announcements regarding their upcoming new album and single, fun.'s record 'Some Nights' has jumped 23 places to No.12, and The Darkness have fallen 21 places to No.25 with 'Hot Cakes'.
