Lil' Kim is due to hold an impromptu fan meet and greet today (July 22) to make up for her cancelled appearance at the Lovebox festival on Sunday (July 21).

The singer was due to perform at the London event but her slot was cancelled on the day after she apparently turned up late, with the festival organisers stating:

"Lil' Kim did not turn up to her set on time. The festival had no other option but to maintain the scheduled running order to ensure the other main stage acts were not disrupted."

She has since taken to Twitter to clarify the cancellation, calling it a "long day" with things happening outwith her control.

Kim added that she plans to meet fans in London at 3pm in an effort to make amends for the no-show.

PR and manager Lizzie Grubman meanwhile was retweeted by Kim on Twitter, who said: "Due to circumstances that were out of Kim's control, her performance at #LoveBox was cancelled. Kim was on-site and on time for her performance and apologises to all of her fans for the inconvenience."
