Miley Cyrus has today quashed rumours that she is dating Justin Bieber.

Speculation about the former Disney teen idol and ‘Baby’ hit-maker has been mounting ever since the pair were spotted together at both a recording studio and a Hollywood club.

But the 20-year-old firmly denied they were more than just friends when asked by Hot 99.5’s The Kane Show this morning:

"I'm ENGAGED! I'm engaged. That is impossible."

But the former Hannah Montana star decided not to retaliate when the show brought up Amanda Bynes, the troubled actress who today branded Cyrus as 'ugly' on Twitter:

“I won’t even entertain that thought. I think it’s all so sad, that I don’t want to add any fuel to that fire. Because it’s really so sad to me.

“I just thought it was so hilarious that she mentioned my name the moment I was a worldwide trending topic on Twitter. The moment you’re a trending topic, it’s funny how many people want your name to come out of their mouth."
